A NEW term and a fresh start for a high school which returns with a completely new image.
The former Harwich School will officially change its name to the Harwich and Dovercourt High School, on Thursday.
It has introduced new uniforms and adopted a new logo, with four coloured sails emerging over the sea.
New black blazers, with a blue trim and different coloured ties have been introduced for each learning community.
The new-style uniform was chosen through a focus group of students with the headteacher.
Every student was then invited to complete an electronic questionnaire to select the final look from a shortlist.
The changes have been spear headed by headteacher, Nigel Mountford, who also oversaw a change in specialism when it became a humanities college in January this year.
The school is also reminding parents that all cheques meant for the school should be made out to Harwich and Dovercourt High School, but all other account details remain the same.
