FIELD John Noel Welburn (Jack) 1919 - 2012 Peacefully in hospital on 30th March. Beloved Husband of Betty, dearly loved Father of Jackie, Jill and the late Sally. Loving Grandad to his six Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. Funeral Service at St Mary and St Michael Church, Mistley on Wednesday 11th April at 2.30 pm, followed by interment. Family flowers only, donations, if desired to St Helena Hospice, may be sent to Geo. Paskell Funeral Services, 15 High Street, Manningtree CO11 1AG

Hi there, could anyone please tell me whether Jack was in 218 squadron during WW2 as I have been going through my Grandfathers personal documents and his 'best friend' was a Jack Field of Quay Street Manningtree. My Grandfather sadly passed away some years ago but I have unearthed letters and documents from his things including Jack and would like to share them. Thanks.
