Fire crews called after digger catches alight
FIREFIGHTERS put out a mechanical digger which caught fire in Ardleigh.
Two crews from Colchester attended the blaze in Slough Lane at 9.52am yesterday.
Firemen wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire by 10.24am.
The digger was destroyed in the incident
