The Harwich and Manningtree Standard has a new editor.
Aynsley Davidson has been appointed to the role, succeeding Andrew Bennett as Standard editor.
Mr Davidson, 45, who lives in the Tendring district, has previously edited other weekly titles across Essex, including the Essex County Standard, Braintree and Witham Times, Maldon and Burnham Standard and Halstead Gazette.
He said: “It is a great honour to edit the Harwich and Manningtree Standard, which has a proud history and tradition as a community newspaper.
“For more than 130 years, the Standard has provided our readers an unrivalled local news service, and the paper has constantly evolved to offer the best local sport, features, property, motoring, entertainments and advertising coverage.
“Our team looks forward to continuing to provide this service and remaining at the heart of our community.”
Mr Davidson, who is married with two children, added: “I also look forward, in the coming months, to meeting as many readers, organisations and community groups as possible."
