A NEW internal swimming pool and an outdoor play area will be built at a caravan park.
A full planning application for the construction of a new internal swimming pool building and outdoor play area at Dovercourt Haven Caravan Park, in Low Road, Dovercourt, has been approved by Tendring Council.
The new swimming pool complex will be built on the site of the footprint of the former outdoor pool area and playground, in the centre of the park.
The proposal includes a new internal structure of the swimming pool, new changing facilities, a new plant room and new seating areas for customers.
These facilities will exclusively be used by holidaymakers at Dovercourt Holiday Park and will not be open for the general public.
The planning statement, which can be viewed on Tendring Council’s planning site, said: “The new swimming pool facility will be available to holidaymakers throughout the holiday season and, is a major financial investment by the company to improve the quality of on-site facilities and the park as a whole.
“Following their recent acquisition of the holiday park, the applicants seek to invest in the existing facilities on site.”
The planning permission was granted by Tendring Council as local planning authority on May 5.
