SHOPPERS are being reminded that a variety of businesses are back open in Upper Dovercourt to enjoy.
As the Government continues to ease lockdown measures, restaurants and pubs are making final touches before they reopen tomorrow after months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Helen Leckie said she wanted to remind residents to take a browse through the shops in Upper Dovercourt which include takeaways, cafes, a barbers and a gardening shop.
It also includes her parents' shop, called Reedman's Florist, in Main Road, which is one of the oldest family businesses left in Dovercourt.
She said: "My parents [Joan and Derek Reedman] own Reedman's Florist, the shop has been owned by my family since 1954 making them one of the oldest running family businesses left in Harwich."
Ms Leckie wanted to note a selection of businesses which are back open for customers to encourage more footfall in the town.
They include:
- Homecraft
- A Co-op
- WHSmiths
- The Tanning Hub
- Dovercourt Grill
- The Cabin Foodhouse
- Shadowcat Coffee Shop
- Upper Dovercourt Post Office
