A PETROL station will be revamped if plans get the go-ahead.
Tankerford Ltd has lodged a planning application with Tendring Council to extend and modernise Ardleigh Service Station.
If plans get the go-ahead, the shop would be extended and become a convenience store.
The proposal includes installing new shop front windows and a kiosk along with the replacement of existing fuel pumps and a new canopy.
A service station has been on site since 1970 and the original toilet facilities are in need of a major overhaul.
If plans are approved a new disabled toilet facility will also be incorporated with ramped access to the shop.
There will be no jet wash facilities on the site but it will have new modern compressed air/ water unit and vacuum facilities as well as safe storage for bikes.
Tendring Council will have the final say on the plans.
