Mayflower Performing Arts Group landed the award
A CHARITY has been awarded a donation in recognition of its work.
The Mayflower Performing Arts Group - based in Harwich - is set to receive £1,000 as part of Ecclesiastical Insurance Group’s Movement for Good awards.
Members of the public were invited to nominate causes close to their hearts, with 500 awards of the sum available for donation.
Mayflower Performing Arts Group, Lupus UK and Age Concern Essex are some of the charities set to benefit from the money following overwhelming public support.
The arts group provides an affordable activity for young people to help with wellbeing.
It relies on fundraising events and limited sponsorship and volunteer staff to keep itself running.
