A FAMILY support group celebrated its “amazing” volunteers who helped the charity stay afloat throughout the pandemic.
Home-Start Harwich hosted a mini outdoor party to celebrate all its volunteer’s hard work to support families with children under the age of 11.
Parents are once again able to meet up with the volunteers who support them and return to their support groups as Government restrictions have been lifted.
Wendy Taylor, manager at Home-Start, said: “It was a day for thanking all our amazing volunteers who have stayed with us throughout the pandemic and all the lockdowns, and also to celebrate our newly trained volunteers.
“Without all of them, we could not support as many families or help improve as many lives.
“It was a shame our whole team couldn’t join us – for many reasons – but we’d still like to say a huge thank you to each and every one of them. Time to put our best foot forward into our new normal.”
