ENGINEERS are investigating an electricity line fault which has caused a power cut for dozens of residents.
UK Power Networks was notified of a power cut at 3.50pm this afternoon affected villages such as Great Oakley, Ramsey and Stones Green.
Engineers are now investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which has created the power cut in the area after visiting the site at about 4pm
By 5.45pm they were able to restore power to a further 112 supplies by remotely diverting power
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: "There are now 142 properties still affected, so your power may have come on sooner than we originally advised.
"If you're still off, please don't worry; work on the issue will continue along with SMS updates until everyone is back on."
The power is expected to be restored fully by 6.30pm.
