TALENTED - and not so talented - singers can prepare to grace the stage during karaoke nights in a town.

Budding singers can take to the microphone in Harwich as the nation's favourite musical fun has been pencilled in as a permanent fixture in the town's calendar.

The inaugural night will take place in Kingsway Hall on Friday, September 3 before continuing on the first Friday of every month.

Entry is free for those brave enough to take part, or those who would rather sit back and enjoy the night.

The bar will also be open for some nerve-settling drinks.
