A SALON owner has said the team “couldn’t believe it” after a number of her employees were recognised at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
Zoe Martin, who owns Sunkissed in Main Road, Dovercourt, was celebrating after four of her hardworking staff were acknowledged at the British Hair and Beauty Awards.
And she rejoiced after Gabby Gardner’s fantastic talent saw her chosen for the gold award in the hair stylist of the year category.
Carla Sturges was given the silver award in both beauty therapist and lash specialist of the year categories, as well as a bronze award in the waxing specialist of the year section.
Sarah Sullivan was chosen for the silver award in tanning expert of the year, while Jack Attwood was hailed as bronze employee of the year.
Mrs Martin said: “We actually couldn’t believe it. The girls and Jack were so excited and I really couldn’t be prouder of them “They work so hard, their passion is second to none.
“We’ve gone from strength to strength every year and this is huge recognition as to how far we’ve come in six years.
“We celebrate our sixth anniversary this month and winning these awards couldn’t have come at a better time.”
