A FREE training programme which seeks to help young people in Tendring find a job or start their own business has launched.
Colchester firm Colbea has, alongside Tendring Council, initiated its HELLO FUTURE! training programme, which is designed to help 18-24 year olds into work or think about starting their own business.
The six-week online programme begins on October 27 and will identify participants’ strengths and capabilities, build their confidence and support them in finding the right opportunities.
For those who sign up to the course, it will help explain the differences between running your own business and give them tools to prepare for their next steps, identifying the ideal route.
Participants will also be able to try out their networking skills with a group of people making similar decisions and hear from real people, business owners and employees, all sharing real experiences.
Mary Newton, Tendring councillor responsible for business and economic growth, said: “It is important we help our young people to flourish and succeed, whether that’s by supporting and developing their talents within existing firms or encouraging entrepreneurial spirit to blossom in Tendring.”
You can find more information about each session and sign up via colbea-hellofuture-october.eventbrite.co.uk.
