PARENTS of toddlers have something to look forward to as an event is taking place with a parenting author as a guest speaker.
TOTS at Brantham Leisure Centre is hosting the event which will see author Sarah Ockwell-Smith provide parenting advice and give out her new book ‘How to be a calm parent’.
The book will be officially released on March 3 so attendees will get their hands on a copy a day early.
Ms Ockwell-Smith says that if parents are calm and in control of their own emotions, they are likely to raise similarly well-adjusted children.
She adds: “This book doesn’t tell you why you need to be calmer, it tells you how to tame your anger, reduce your stress, tame the guilt and improve your relationships.
“As a result, you can have an easier, calmer and happier parenting experience.”
Attendees will be treated to food and refreshments on the day.
Tickets cost £25 and the talk will take place on Wednesday, March 2.
