A GREEN-FINGERED family has had blooming success with their plant shop just three months after opening.
The B’Leaf Shop, in Dovercourt’s High Street, has sold around a thousand plants, drawing visitors from all across Tendring.
Run by Harwich couple Claire Bright, 28, and Peter Weatherill, 48, the firm offers a wide selections of rare plants, some of which have recently been on David Attenborough’s Blue Planet.
With more than 40 species available, Peter says B’Leaf is always welcoming flora lovers, even when they simply need tips on growing healthy plants.
He said: “There is something there for everybody - we have rare species for people who know their plants but also plants for people who are just starting.
“We have a local potter called K-ware Ceramics and beautiful handcrafted greeting cards designed by Hannah -BumbleNfern.
“She makes the cards with sea glass on them and does the drawing herself.”
To stay environmentally friendly, the duo is also using biodegradable packaging and products wherever possible.
“People can bring in their old pots, put them into a recycling box or swap them to be a little bit more carbon neutral to the planet,” added Peter.
You can find the shop in 5 Central House, High Street, Dovercourt, CO12 3PT.
