A beach in Harwich has been named in the top 10 beaches to visit this summer in the UK, according to the holiday rental company HomeToGo.
Dovercourt Beach was placed in eighth spot on the list, based on a few factors such as water quality, median price per night and visitor rating out of five stars.
The median price per night of £111.64 was based on HomeToGo internal price insight of the nightly cost of accommodation between June 21 - September 23, 2022 in the surrounding area of each beach.
Meanwhile, the visitor rating of 3.2 out of 5 was based off information provided by thebeachguide.co.uk to source a visitor rating for each beach.
Finally, the judgement of its 'Excellent' water quality was based on information from the Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs.
It ended up receiving an index score of 24.7 out of 30 after pulling those all together.
On TripAdvisor, whilst Dovercourt Beach is regarded as not the easiest to access, it has been praised for its quiet, relaxing atmosphere and "friendly vibe".
Llandanwg Beach in Gwynedd was crowned the best beach, with Whitesands Beach in Pembrokeshire as the runner-up and Sandbanks Beach in Dorset rounding off the top three.
