A FESTIVAL organiser is set to welcome back a beloved act for a special gig.
Guitar players Pete Oxley and Nic Meier will be at the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre for a concert hosted by the Harwich Festival.
This will be the duo’s fourth visit to Harwich during which they have released three acclaimed CDs: Chasing Tales, The Colours of Time and The Alluring Ascent.
Pete and Nic’s Harwich Festival date will be part of a tour showcasing tunes from their new album to be released later in the year.
Pete has played with such jazz luminaries as John Etheridge, Dave O’Higgins and Tim Whitehead.
Nic’s career includes three years with guitar legend Jeff Beck and recordings with Yellowjackets bassist Jimmy Haslip and Sting and John McLaughlin drummer Vinnie Colaiuta.
Attendees can expect another evening of electric fretboard wizardry played on nylon string, steel string, 12-string, slide, guitar-synth, glissentar guitars and much more.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 21 and doors will open at 7pm.
Tickets are £12 and available on the night or online at harwichfestival.com.
