A DRUG driver who got behind the wheel with cannabis in his system has been banned from the roads.
Alfie Ling, 29, of Una Road, Dovercourt, was caught driving a Lexus Is in Thorpe-Le-Soken on January 17.
He was found to have 10mcg of del delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol – the main psychoactive ingredient of cannabis – per litre of blood.
The legal limit is 2mcg.
Appearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court, Ling admitted to the offence.
He was fined £216 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34.
He was also disqualified from driving for a year.
