SEVERAL activities suitable for families will be available at an event to raise awareness for climate change and environmental health.

Attendees at Manningtree Earth Festival can follow the nature challenge trail in the biodiversity zone on the day.

Down by the beach in the water zone, earth festival organisers can will show a range of animals that are available in a clean river.

John Hall, organiser at Manningtree Earth Festival, said: “There is plenty for adults too, of course.

“With more than 40 stalls, 18 punchy talks from high profile speakers, ten workshops, several food outlets and toe tapping music from five bands.”

The food zone provides some great food and attendees can learn where their food comes from in the food miles game.

In the energy and recycling zone, the recycling challenge will see which family can get the most items into the right recycling bins in the shortest time.

Manningtree Earth Festival is free thanks to support from Manningtree District Business Chamber, Essex County Council, Tendring Council and Practical Actiosn for Climate Change and the Environment (PACE)

The free event will take place on Sunday, June 26 between noon and 8pm.
