FAMILIES attended a fun event that allowed children to express themselves artistically to celebrate father’s day.
Tendring-based The Creation Station held its superhero-themed father’s day event at Bradfield Village Hall.
Activities included singing, dancing and lots of arts and crafts for the children attending to enjoy.
Charlotte Lee, a mother from Manningtree, attended the event with her family.
She said: “It was expertly delivered and full of fun activities to keep the children busy and having fun.
“I’m a big fan of Creation Station, I take my daughter to the weekly little explorer’s class in Lawford and it’s great.”
The Creation Station franchise in Tendring was launched by Lawford resident Jade Mitchell in April and holds several events as well as weekly classes for toddlers to 11-year-olds.
Jade started the creation station in Tendring when she was on maternity leave with her second child.
She was a secondary school teacher at the time and was looking for a career she could fit around her family in terms of working hours.
Jade said: “I found the creation station online and it was perfect, I booked onto a discovery event in October and had my training during Easter this year and launched in April.
“I run my weekly classes and have had two family fun events, one for the Queen’s platinum jubilee and the other for father’s day.”
The father’s day event saw children aged two to six come along with their families.
It was an hour-long session where children discussed why their father or male role model is a superhero.
This included what qualities they liked about their fathers and the discussion was used to make a flying superhero card and a superhero mask designed out of foam.
Jade added: “We have classes in Lawford, Wix, Brightlingsea and Bradfield and organise birthday parties across Tendring.
“Our next event is a slime workshop on Friday, July 29, for children aged four and older.”
