A VOLUNTARY organisation has thanked a supermarket its continued support throughout the pandemic and beyond.
Home-Start Harwich has received regular support from Waitrose Colchester community matters initiative.
Waitrose has provided regular donations of food which Home-Start distributes to supported families.
A spokeswoman for Home-Start Harwich, said: “Waitrose have also provided food for our jubilee royal garden party which saw more than 300 people enjoy afternoon tea at Bobbits Hole.
“Linda Dumbrell, Waitrose Community Matters ambassador presented Home-Start manager Wendy Taylor with a cheque of £1,000 to support families throughout the summer.”
This continues Linda’s great work as last month she was given a royal seal of approval from the Queen.
She was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for 2022 after being nominated by her colleagues and charity bosses.
Linda received the honour in recognition of the selfless and inspiring work she does within the community work and for Waitrose’s Give A Little Love campaign.
