A CHOIR is in good spirits after announcing the rescheduling of a previously postponed concert.
The Stour Choral Society was set to host a concert in East Bergholt on June 25 but had to postpone for Covid related reasons.
This was just weeks after the choir celebrated its 50th anniversary on June 11, which itself was postponed for two years because of the pandemic.
Now, the choir has rescheduled its latest concert for Saturday, September 24 at Old Hall in East Bergholt, starting at 6.15pm.
A spokeswoman for Stour Choral Society said: “We are very much looking forward to our next concert ‘Stour Choral Society Goes to the Movies’ in September.
“This had to be postponed from June 25, when unfortunately Covid hit some of our key performers.
“It still promises to be a fun and entertaining concert containing songs from the Musicals delivered by the choir and some local young singers, tutored by Susie Hyman.”
Concert tickets are available by emailing info@stourchoralsociety.co.uk and will also be available from Howell’s Hardware Store in Manningtree High Street.
Tickets purchased for the concert on June 25 will be valid for the September 24 performance.
The choir is also keen to recruit new singers, especially tenors and basses, and is offering an open rehearsal on Monday, September 26 at The Oak Room in Acorn Village, Mistley, starting at 7.30pm.
