A MUSEUM will celebrate its first anniversary this weekend with several fun festivities set to take place.
Harwich Museum will begin proceedings with a coffee morning to start off the celebrations.
The museum has been raising money for a community defibrillator which will be unveiled by Mr Chris Strachan.
The event will have a Victorian Seaside theme for the day with outdoor stalls, games, face painting, tombola and more.
A spokeswoman for the museum said: “The volunteers are dressing up in Victorian style dress, we have some shanty singers and an accordion player.
“A beside the seaside themed talk will take place in our cinema room. The museum, tearoom and shop will be open as normal and there is also the possibility of a special guest appearance.”
The coffee morning will take place on Friday, August 19, from 10am until 2pm and the anniversary celebration is on Sunday, August 21, from 10am to 4pm.
