A FUNDRAISING event which was set to see motorcyclists ride more than 60 miles and families enjoy a day of festivities has been cancelled.
The motorcycle run and family fun day, organised by the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) was set for Sunday, September 18.
It has been cancelled following the Queen’s death and attempts to reschedule have been unsuccessful.
the event will now return in 2023.
Fran Gillott, events coordinator, thanked prospective residents for their support and patience in the build up to this year’s event.
She said: “We apologise for any disappointment caused and ask for your understanding at this unprecedented time.
“We need your support more than ever and would love you, as you may have done in previous years, to continue with your own I Did It My Way run from September 20 until the end of the month.
“Your sponsorship money will be vital to making I Did It My Way a success, so please use the paper the paper forms and you can also support us via JustGiving.”
Participants taking part in I Did It My Way can buy t-shirts online.
