BEER lovers flocked to Dovercourt to raise a glass at the town's winter ale festival.
The Harwich and Dovercourt Bay Winter Ale Festival took place between Wednesday, November 16 and Saturday, November 19.
Attendees from surrounding areas came to enjoy the event, which has gained a reputation for its expansive beer list.
Colin Cheesman, chairman of the festival organising committee, said: “Our festival has gained a reputation for being very friendly and providing a wide-ranging and varied beer menu and it is always nice to see familiar faces who come back year after year.
“This year was no exception and, once again, the beer menu was very well received.”
Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) volunteers who plan and run the annual festival pride themselves on providing a wide range of interesting and unusual beers, ciders and perrys for attendees to try and the beer menu received compliments from locals and visitors alike throughout the festival.
With 42 real ales available ranging from 3.6 per cent light beers through a 10.1 per cent strong ale there was truly something for everyone.
