RESIDENTS flocked to a village hall Christmas to browse and buy the various wares available from several stall holders.

The fair took place in Bradfield Village Hall on Sunday, December 4 and it was the first large event since Covid, the fair was also the first to be run by the new hall committee.

More than 500 people attended to pick out some unique items and last minute Christmas gifts.

Steve Gunter, chairman of Bradfield Village Hall, said: “The hall trustees were overwhelmed by the support for its Christmas Craft Fayre.

“Children enjoyed having their faces painted and visiting Father Christmas in his colourful grotto.

“Crumb and Brew and Daynas Diner provided very tasty refreshments on the day and the hall committee supplied the mulled wine and cider along with mince pies donated by the Women’s Institute.”

Residents remarked on the quality of the crafts, gifts and decorations for sale and as a result Bradfield Village Hall is looking to hold more craft fairs in the new year.

Steve added: “It was lovely to see a small village like ours generating so much interest and visitor footfall and it all helps as the profits go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the Village Hall and every penny is gratefully received and will be put to good use.”
