Winter Love Island 2023 is well underway with the islanders coupled up and enjoying the South African sun.
But it wouldn’t be the show we know and love without some bombshell drama along the way.
At the end of last night’s episode, viewers were teased with the arrival of two new islanders, David Salako and Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown.
As the bombshells prepare to settle into the villa and stir things up, here’s everything you need to know about David from Essex.
The 24-year-old previously played for Little Oakley Football Club.
Essex's David Salako to enter Love Island villa
David is a money advisor entering the villa to meet someone he can bond with, calling the experience "exciting".
When asked why he is still single, David said: "I’m very picky - I haven’t met the right one yet. The person you’re going to meet is never going to be perfect, but I’ve got my standards, yeah."
When describing his worst date, he said: "I met someone through an app, she was messaging me all the time. When I met her, she said, ‘I’ve been down your social media followers, you follow a lot of girls. Do you know all of these girls? If I was in a relationship with someone I wouldn’t want them following that many girls.’ I said to her, ‘This is a bit too much for me.'"
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
