A LIFEBOAT station has thanked attendees who raised funds at its first curry and quiz night.
Harwich RNLI held the event on Thursday, January 26, at Samuel Pepys Wine Bar with 48 people making up eight teams.
Station operations manager Peter Bull was the quiz master and the event proved successful, raising £220 for the charity.
A spokesman for Harwich RNLI said: “Our thanks go out to Lorna, Graham and Paul from Samuel Pepys who assisted us in organising the event, and also donated prizes to the raffle, and all the staff who helped make the night so successful.
“As the evening was such an enjoyable success, similar quiz nights will be held every six to eight weeks, with the next already planned for April 5.”
