AN electrical fault has led to a power cut which is now impacting residents living in near Harwich.

Residents living in the CO12 5 postcode area have been impacted by a power cut this morning.

It was first reported to UK Power Networks at 5.52am this morning.

By 7.08am, engineers were on their way to work to get the power back on.

The power was switched off due to a fault on part of the electrical equipment for the Ramsey, Little Oakley, Great Oakley and Stones Green area.

It has been estimated the power will be back on by about 10am to 11am this morning.

UK Power Networks has apologised for any distribution this may cause.

A spokesman said: “A fault has occurred on a piece of our electrical equipment which controls the power to your home.

“The information on our website is live and up-to-date.

“This is the same information that our call advisors give customers over the phone.

“Please only call us if you're in a dangerous situation or notice any damage to our equipment.”
