A CHARITY which trains horse riders of all ages has expressed its delight with recent accomplishments by its young members.
Harwich Horse Rangers Association awarded youngsters with rosettes and certificates to commemorate their achievements.
The awards were provided by the Association of British Riding Schools of whom the Horse Rangers Association has a long-standing relationship.
Sioux Thorpe, managing director of Harwich Horse Rangers, congratulated the youngsters on their accomplishments.
She said: “We’re really proud of what the children have been doing and it’s a testament to their hard work and determination for receiving these awards.
“With the recent closure of the Wix Equestrian Centre there was a slight fear that rangers wouldn’t be incentivised to keep going but that couldn’t be further from the truth.”
Callum Shean, aged ten, received his riding rosette after completing the ten categories which include skills like mounting and dismounting, rising trot, jumping a small fence and more.
He spent more than two years of hard work completing the categories.
Additionally, two other children are set to complete their ten stable management categories, the first time horse rangers have completed all ten.
