YOUNGSTERS have been encouraged to sign up for youth cricket training to hone their skills for the new season.
Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club will host its training sessions delivered by ECB qualified cricket coaches in West End Lane, Low Road, Dovercourt.
With more than 100 children ranging from year one to year 11 taking part in the club's youth training in the past two years, the ten weeks of training caters for all.
Shane Smith, youth team coach, said: “I'd personally like to extend my thanks to the directors of North Essex Homes, who have seen first hand the work we have been doing over the last two years to keep local kids active and having fun, whilst learning cricket based activities.
“Their sponsorship allows us to continue these sessions, invest in equipment and take us to the next level by putting junior teams together to play matches and tournaments."
Developer North Essex Homes recently signed as the clubs official youth cricket sponsor for the next three years supporting investments into youth development.
Training costs £3 per child each week or free if part of a Family Social Membership worth £15 which covers two parents and their children.
It will take place on Friday evenings from April 28 until July 21.
