SKATEBOARDERS are invited to show off their skills at a council-funded event with lots of fun and festivities in Dovercourt.
The free annual Dovercourt Skatepark Jam, in Wick Lane, will take place on Sunday.
Skaters, BMX and scooter riders will return to showcase their tricks after the Jam had a successful relaunch last year following a two-year hiatus.
Harwich councillor Jo Henderson was one of the key figures in spearheading the Skate Park Jam which first launched in 2018.
She said: “Once we got our nice skate park in place we spoke about the jam as a council.
"Maverick built the park for us and it's lovely to see young people encouraging each other at the events.
“Skate parks do have good followings so we had a lot of visitors which was good, and on a personal level the park is close to my heart.”
The upcoming event will have competitions, prizes, and rider demos for spectators to enjoy.
Live music will also be available making the day jam-packed with all sorts of entertainment.
The Dovercourt Skate Park Jam will take place on Sunday, May 28, from 12noon until 4pm.
