A SERVICE will take place in Harwich to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic.
Harwich Town Council will be marking the day with a short service at the Merchant Navy Association (MNA) memorial on Harwich Quay at 11am on Sunday, May 28.
Town mayor Mayor Fowler will lay a wreath along with members of other local organisations.
Readings will be made and the last post sounded with a moment’s silence.
