YOUNGSTERS gathered to show off their stunts and tricks at an annual event promoting positivity in the community.
The Skate Park Jam hosted Harwich Town Council and Team Rubicon took place at Dovercourt Skate Park, in Low Road, on Sunday.
A vibrant and sunny day saw youngsters on skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes perform tricks in jam competitions.
The event also had live music and free prizes were given out in a welcoming environment that allowed performers to express themselves.
Dovercourt councillor Jo Henderson said: “It was a nice and really successful day and I’m so pleased that we had such a great turnout.
“We had lots of exciting competitions and there were free prizes given out so it was really inclusive.
“There were some new stunt people that came over to take part in the jams and it’s created quite a following.”
Prizes were given out including t-shirts and skateboard decks with wonderful designs.
Mrs Henderson added: “The scene has always been quite popular and with the cost of living crisis it’s nice that there’s something for children to use that’s free.
“Events like these are important because it helps to bring the youth together and families get to come along too.”
