COMPETITORS raced around Mistley's Furze Hill following the return of the village's pram race.
Mistley Pram Race, which was popular in the 1970s and 1980s returned to much fanfare as pram racers were put through their paces on the day on Monday.
Mistley Parish Council partnered with Mistley Rugby Council to organise the event.
Charlotte Howell, chairman of parish council, thanked everyone who supported the event.
She said: “It was a wonderful day and really well-supported event. We were absolutely delighted with the turnout.
“The pram race itself was a lot of fun. I’m amazed at how the teams managed to navigate the obstacles and pop-up pubs.
“Teams shot balls through hoops, sat on thrones and took selfies wearing king and queens masked, balanced on balancing beams and took to the slip and slide with gusto.
“The winners were Team Saunders, which did really well, and there were prizes for best pram and costumes.”
The event also had a dog show and music from Keystone.”
