A KNIFE-WIELDING gang reportedly forced their way into a Harwich home before threatening a man with a blade.
Essex Police says the aggravated burglary was shortly followed by a theft and officers believe the two incidents are linked.
“Both incidents took place between 9.30pm and 10pm on Thursday, September 28, and we believe the suspects are the same in each,” a spokesman for the force said.
The aggravated burglary was in Vansittart Street, off Albert Street and Stour Road, while the theft, which saw two men approached before a bag was stolen, happened in Nelson Road, Dovercourt.
The three male suspects are described as being aged between 18 and 25 and are believed to have been wearing dark-coloured clothing with hoods up.
They were also seen getting into a grey Mercedes saloon car which officers are keen to trace.
The police spokesman added: “If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.”
