A FAMILY has been left homeless after a fire at a house in Parkeston this morning.
Firefighters from Dovercourt and Colchester attended an incident involving in Princes Street, Parkeston this morning at 5.17am.
The fire started in an outbuilding of a house and five properties were evacuated due to smoke.
The crews were able to extinguish the fire at 5.50am and one man was treated after breathing in smoke.
The Fire and Rescue Service remains at the scene to check for hotspots and work together with the Red Cross and Tendring Council to support the family, who have been left homeless due to the smoke damage.
