A COUPLE who have spent decades living in Dovercourt have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
Kenneth and Pamela Kirke are marking 60 years of marriage - and even received a congratulatory card from King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Kenneth, who is from Dovercourt and Pamela, from Wrabness, exchanged vows on November 9, 1963.
They have lived in Dovercourt for all their married life and have gone on to raise a family in the area.
Pamela started her working career at Coopers and when returned back to work after having the children, worked in a bakery in Dovercourt until she retired.
Kenneth spent his working life at sea, including in the merchant navy from which he retired in the position of Bosun.
They are an active couple and still enjoying their holidays abroad.
Pamela loves to spend time in their garden and Kenneth enjoys daily swims in the sea during the summer months.
Kenneth and Pamela welcomed three daughters, Sam, Joanne and Lisa, and now also have four grandchildren - Corey, Ruby, Aiden and Ethan.
The family had a special dinner on Saturday, October 28, to celebrate the occasion.
