HARWICH Society volunteers who staff the town's Maritime Museum will be providing a seasonal opportunity for those interested in making their own Christmas cards.
The workshop will show how to make cheap Christmas cards, in light of the cost of living crisis.
Each participant will end up with five Christmas cards to take home free of charge and armed with the skills to make more.
Museum curator John Goodchild said: “All of the materials will be provided free of charge and there is no charge for the workshop.
"The idea is to use the museum as a venue for creating cheap Christmas cards and we hope that it will prove a popular opportunity.”
The next workshop will be from 10am to noon on Tuesday November 28.
Due to limited space, the workshop will cater for around ten people.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
The card making session will be led by museum volunteer Catherine Ovens, who hopes it will be a useful and fun start to Christmas.
She said: "It’s amazing what can be achieved very cheaply and there is always something special about something you have made yourself. It will be lovely to bring a bit of Christmas to Harwich’s Maritime Museum.”
