A FESTIVE community carol service will be taking place in Dovercourt to celebrate the Christmas season.
The event, which is funded by the Harwich Town Council and supported by Dovercourt Market, will be taking place on Friday at Orwell Place from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
The long-awaited car park and event space opened to the public in September.
Reverend Kirsty Emerson will be leading the traditional carol service, which also includes accompaniment by the Tendring Brass Band and the Harwich and Dovercourt High School.
Afterwards, Nikki Evans will be singing classic Christmas favourites.
Free activities and refreshments will also be available.
