AN OLD St John Ambulance hut in Lawford could be turned into a co-working office space under a new proposal.
The St John Ambulance Hut, in Station Road, an unused training centre and ambulance station, was sold in September, 2023 for £231,000.
The co-working office – where people from different companies share an office – would mean a total of four full-time employees would be created, with two of the employees working part-time in the proposal.
The office would be open from the hours of 7.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturday and would be closed on Sundays and bank holidays.
Solar panels have also been proposed for the roof as well as a proposal to block one of two existing fire doors and replace it with matching brickwork.
While vehicle parking would increase by one to a total of two spaces, with one space being reserved for disability.
Six new cycle spaces would be created from an existing of zero cycle spaces, with “cycle storage and parking” being advised to include if possible for the application.
Further, there would be a new main entrance, six small skylights and the existing toilet would be split into two cubicles.
As well as various zones of open office there would also be one meeting room. space in the 1,978 square foot single storey building.
