A LEADING developer has received accreditation from the RSPB for its wildlife-friendly gardens in Dovercourt.
David Wilson Homes, as part of its corporate partnership, has created gardens at its Languard View development to be in line with guidance from the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).
This means the gardens include a variety of habitat features that support and provide opportunities for wildlife.
Wildlife ponds, log stacks, bird boxes, bee hotels, bat boxes, compost bins, bird feeders, native hedge rows, species rich wildflower lawns, hedgehog houses, hedgehog holes, herb planters were all installed.
As well water butts and shrubs, trees, climbers and herbaceous planting – all from the RSPB approved list.
Tom Wright, managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “With support from our longstanding partner, the RSPB, we're working to create nature rich developments.
“We look forward to seeing our new gardens flourish with wildlife, and visitors to our development can explore them and gather valuable insights for their own home gardens.”
The accredited gardens belong to the developer’s three bedroom Redgrave and four bedroom Kingsley show homes on the Barratt Homes side.
Further on the David Wilson Homes side of the development the gardens belong to the three bedroom Hadley and four bedroom Holden show homes.
Barratt And David Wilson Homes have been partnered with RSPB for a decade sine 2014.
All show homes are available for house hunters to take a tour of and the Languard View development offers a wide selection of wide selection of traditionally built two, three, and four bedroom homes.
