A MOTHER who marched into her daughter’s home and attacked her following a row is to be sentenced in June.
Magistrates heard how Samantha Turner entered her daughter’s property in Pound Farm Drive, Dovercourt, last September to confront her.
Once inside the address, Ms Turner, 55, of Parkeston Road, Dovercourt, tried to push Ms Reynolds out of the way before attacking her.
Natalie Roberts, prosecuting, said: “Ms Turner came through the unlocked back door and started shouting – this was following a previous incident which involved a bottle being thrown.
“Ms Reynolds then entered the kitchen and told [her mother] to leave.
“The victim pushed the defendant back.
“The defendant then grabbed hold of the victim’s hair and the two began scuffling on the floor.
“The victim said ‘You are ****ing dead to me'."
The court heard how Ms Turner then punched her daughter three times, breaking her nose and knocking her unconscious.
George Dixon, mitigating, said: “There have been ongoing issues between the victim and the defendant.
“There has then been a physical altercation as Ms Turner pushed Ms Reynolds out of the way.
“She then punched her victim three times in the face and broke her nose.”
Mr Dixon added how Ms Turner suffered from anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, psychosis, and is a recreational user of amphetamine.
Ms Turner, who admitted one charge of actual bodily harm, is due to be sentenced by magistrates on Thursday, June 6 once a pre-sentence report is prepared.
