DOUBLE points on every box will help players celebrate the final week of Harwich’s free community game ‘Beat the Street’.
More than 110,000 miles have been walked so far in the six-week game which had boxes installed around Harwich and Dovercourt.
For the sixth and final ‘Go Celebrate’ week residents can find and hand in green painted shells and stones with a white B on them to the Dovercourt and Harwich Hub for a ‘Beat the Street prize’.
On Saturday April 20, Parkeston Railway Club will be hosting a Messy Church with crafts, activities, songs, and stories from 10am to 11.30am.
While on Tuesday April 23, residents can visit the ex-Trinity House lightship vessel LV18 at The Quay between 4pm and 5pm.
The end of Beat the Street will be celebrated with an end of the game party on Wednesday April 24 at beach hut 161 in Dovercourt from 1pm to 5pm.
Becky Dowling, game co-coordinator at Community Voluntary Services Tendring (CVST), said: “We’re hoping to see as many people as possible at the end of game party where we will celebrate the achievements of players and keep tapping until the very end.”
