THREE talented musical acts will be performing at a popular Manningtree pub this week.
The Groovy Arts Club Band has set up yet another brilliant night of music ready to take place upstairs at The Red Lion, in South Street, Manningtree.
The trio of local talent will be taking to the stage on Saturday from 7pm until 11.30pm.
Starting off the night right is Lauryn Dobinson, who will be performing her acoustic numbers.
Marcel, the bassist for Groovy Arts Club Band, said: "Lauryn is a firm favourite with the Groovy Arts Club crowd and we will hear her enchanting songs served with a twist of violin strings.
"Everyone get ready to enjoy a melodic cocktail of harmonic vocals and floaty guitar."
Next up will be the first-ever performance from Blenko, with lead singer Becky Blenko, also known as the frontwoman of Anna's Bones.
Marcel said: "Join Becky for the band’s debut performance, which we are delighted to host at this Groovy Arts Club night."
Becky has recently taken her career a step higher with the release of her singles Through Your Teeth and There There There.
Blenko is made up of Thom Hollyer on bass, Pete Kent on guitar and Olivia Roberts on drums.
Closing the evening will be hosts The Groovy Arts Club Band, with Mark Hull on guitar, Marcel McClarnon on bass, Jon Edwards on drums and David G.A. Stephenson on lead vocals and harmonica.
Known for their entertaining and enthusiastic sets, most recently at Dublin Castle, Camden, the ‘Groovies’ celebrate 1960s and 1970s culture.
They have just released the mini-album Starla Beads, which is available on all digital platforms.
Tickets are £5 and can be purchased at the door or at redlionmanningtree.co.uk/event/groovy-arts-club-band.
