MORE than £300 was raised for a singing charity at the Manningtree mayor’s cheese and wine fundraiser.
A total of £340 was raised for the Singing for Pleasure group – part of Harwich Sing Tendring Voices – who sing old songs as well as socialise.
A cheese and wine masterclass was given by Steve and Whil from Winyl, with cheese from the Cheese and Pie Man.
‘Winyl ’ is a wine and vinyl shop, with an exclusive lounge on South Street available for hire, with a monthly cheese club on the last Saturday of each month.
The Singing for Pleasure group meet for free on the first Monday of every month at 2pm the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre, the second Friday of every month at 10.30am at Mistley Church Hall, and the third Wednesday of every month at 1.30pm at the Park Pavilion in Harwich.
All ages are welcome to attend.
