A ‘TWISTED’ arsonist who smiled whilst he caused a series of devastating fires has been jailed for five years.
Christopher Parker set fire to two vans, Harwich train station, and the LV18 lightship in February, with fire fighters battling the blaze until the early hours of the following morning.
The defendant, 34, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday after he admitted three charges of arson.
The court heard how police searched Parker’s address in Alexandra Road in Harwich and found lighters in his bedroom and an accelerant in his kitchen.
