THE ‘MYSTERIES of Mistley’ trail, food and history festival is returning this month as a celebration of everything in the “wonderful village”.
The event, which takes places on Saturday, June 29, was launched last year by natural food ingredient firm Edme.
Residents and visitors can wander around the village or take part in a food and history trail.
The trails run from 10am to 4pm, with there being a picturesque walk and visits to organisations and historic landmarks.
Venues on the way will also offer food and drink.
EDME technical director and event organiser Renata Faldo said. “The doors of almost every local club or business are opening up and welcoming visitors, and there will be access to the Mistley Towers and the Witchfinder Grave.
“The organisations on the trail are pulling out all the stops to offer food, hospitality, information and activities that will be of interest to those on the trail.”
“Marshalls will also be on route to guide you. A big thanks to Manningtree Rotary Club for their support again this year.”
Anyone taking part in the trail should collect their card at Mistley RUFC or other participating venues.
