CELEBRITY chef Jamie Oliver is hosting a new three-day “culinary journey” at his 16th Century family home in Essex.

‘Jamie’s Ultimate Cooking Experience’ will be hosted by an ‘A-team’ of cookery school chefs and suppliers, and costs a whopping £2,000 per person.

The three-day experience will include a tour of Jamie Oliver’s 16th-Century family residence, Spains Hall, in the heart of the Finchingfield countryside.

Groups will be for about 14 people and there will be hands-on cooking classes, demos and dining experiences, as well as olive oil and wine tastings.

The team includes Ben Glazer from Coombeshead Farm Bakery, Jamie’s personal gardener Suzie Nicholson, and premium wine experts Liberty Wines.

The Stickleback Fish Company and HG Walters, who supply fish and meat to Jamie’s Catherine Street restaurant, will also there.

Mr Oliver said: "I’ve invited my favourite chefs and trusted producers and suppliers to treat you to a brilliant three-day culinary experience at my home.

"You’ll be immersed in my world of cooking – learning from the best, eating the best, and creating the best memories."

On the Friday, from 10am to 9pm, there will be fish, sourdough and pickle master classes, a chef’s table dinner, and garden tour.

On the Saturday, from 9am to 9pm, there will be olive oil tasting, pasta and ‘perfect salad’ workshops, wine tasting, with the day ending with a pizza night and a communal ‘Italian feast’.

On Sunday, from 9am to 5pm, the theme is ‘the big flavours of barbecue’, with the day starting with a steak masterclass and then a preparatory barbeque session.

This will be followed by a barbecue grilling session before the final ‘All-American cookout’ where group members will enjoy their steaks in the classic American barbecue style.

There will also be a gift bag with homemade pickles, a sourdough starter, and a hamper containing Hill Street chocolate, Liberty Wine treats, and organic honey made by bees at Spains Hall.

This summer's dates are August 9-11 and September 6-8.

Those signing up by email will be the first to know the 2025 dates when they go live.
