MORE than 20 jobs will be created when a national burger chain opens a new restaurant in Harwich.

Burger King is opening its first restaurant in Harwich at Parkeston, in Freshfields Road.

An opening date has not been confirmed yet but the new business will create 23 jobs for the area.

Applications are currently open for two assistant manager roles.

Company spokesman Jeremy Wright said: “We are really pleased to share that we will be opening a restaurant in Harwich, and that we are committed to bringing 23 new job and career opportunities to the area.

“We’re looking for assistant managers who are excited to develop their full potential, accelerate their careers and in turn make friends along the way, all whilst in an inclusive and supportive environment.”

Those who are successful in joining the business will enjoy a variety of staff perks such as flexible hours and 28 days annual leave.

Employees can enjoy 70 per cent off food and drink when dining with friends and family.

Both assistant manager roles are full time and have an annual salary of £29,500.

There will be job vacancies for additional crew members at the Harwich restaurant but they have not opened yet.
